Things to know about your skin:

Congratulations - you have normal skin. Many people will envy you because this skin type is as rare as it is uncomplicated. Normal skin has a balanced lipid content and the skin barrier is largely intact. In addition, it usually has fine pores and a uniformly fresh to rosy complexion thanks to good blood circulation.

When normal skin is affected by impurities, they usually appear in the T-zone (forehead-nose-chin), because even with normal skin, this area is naturally a little oilier. There are a lot of sebaceous glands in this part of the face, so the skin simply gets a little more sebum here. Clarifying and anti-inflammatory skin care products also help normal skin in this case, but should not be too drying or sebum-regulating.

Your skin is also dehydrated, i.e. lacking moisture. This means that the skin's own moisture cannot be retained well. For this reason, moisturising from the outside is especially important. We have taken this into account in our product recommendations below.

As your skin is also sensitive, you should avoid irritating ingredients or treatments. We therefore avoid certain active ingredients in our product recommendations and also advise you against mechanical peels.

Care recommendations and tips:

In general, normal skin requires fewer steps than other skin types. Cleanse your skin in the morning with clear water - this is usually sufficient. In the evening, use a mild cleansing product to remove fine dust, sweat and make-up.

Cleansing is followed by care, usually two products are sufficient for normal skin: Use a moisturising product (see steps 2 or 3 of our product suggestions below) and a moisturiser on top. This contains UV filters during the day and soothing ingredients at night.

Hair and hands have nothing to do with blemishes on the face, because they spread the acne bacteria. This is also called smear infection.

Towels (and pillowcases) are also true "superspreaders"; they should be changed accordingly frequently and regularly and washed at at least 60°.

Even pressing on pimples and blackheads is taboo - if you absolutely can't stop, the rule is: try twice at the most and cover your fingertips with tissues.

Unfortunately, there is no one miracle cure for dehydrated skin - it is rather a mix of several measures that moisturise your skin.

Besides skin care, these two are the most important: Drink a lot of water (yes, this also gets into the skin) and if the air in your room is dry (due to the heating in winter or the air conditioning in summer), make sure the air is well humidified, by using room humidifiers or simply a bowl of water on the radiator.

Sensitive skin should be treated like a raw egg. By this we mean: After washing, do not rub dry with hard terry cloth, but pat dry with a soft towel.

And also cream should not be massaged in too much, but better to first distribute in the hands and then gently pat into the skin with the palms.

These HighDroxy products fit the bill:

1. face cleansing

Here, less is often more. Too much or frequent cleansing unnecessarily stresses the skin barrier and can worsen your skin's appearance in the long run. If we recommend several products at this point, you do not have to use them all together. You can find out more about the special features and the right combination on the product pages.

Ultramild facial cleanser for all skin types, including particularly sensitive ones

2. preparation

An often underestimated skin care step: toners or sprays moisturise the skin and make it more receptive to subsequent care products.

3. targeted active substances

Regardless of the number of products suggested here, regularity is more important than frequency. If you want to combine several serums or boosters that are rich in active ingredients, you can, for example, alternate between daily and evening use.
