Your SkinGuide for sensitive combination skin with impurities
Skincode: C-I-H-S
Things to know about your skin:
Combination skin combines opposing characteristics and actually does everything right - at least from the body's point of view. The exposed T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) is protected from wind and weather by the protective oil film, the rest of the skin, also called the U-zone, has fewer sebaceous glands and is normal to dry. The oily part of the skin also has a coarse-pored and thicker texture in combination skin. Typical is the slight shine caused by excessive sebum production in this part of the face.
Your skin's impurities are the direct result of said excess sebum: sebum residues clog the pores and provide the perfect breeding ground for acne bacteria. A mix of sebum-reducing, clarifying and anti-inflammatory active ingredients is therefore part of our product recommendations. See also the extra tip below!
As your skin is also sensitive, you should avoid irritating ingredients or treatments. We therefore avoid certain active ingredients in our product recommendations and also advise you against mechanical peels.
Care recommendations and tips:
Cleanse your combination skin in the morning and evening and use only mild cleansing products. Dry areas on the cheeks will not dry out further and the often oily T-zone will not be stimulated to produce even more oil. Moisturise your skin! Apply a slightly richer care product to the drier U-zone (cheeks and neck below the chin).
Apply moisturisers, aqueous serums or fluids all over your face after cleansing. A light balm, fluid or cream-gel with plant oils and ceramides will strengthen your skin barrier. If you want to give your cheeks an extra dose of lipids, mix a few drops of oil into your skincare or use a richer product. Make sure you use UV protection!
These HighDroxy products fit the bill:
1. face cleansing
Here, less is often more. Too much or frequent cleansing unnecessarily stresses the skin barrier and can worsen your skin's appearance in the long run. If we recommend several products at this point, you do not have to use them all together. You can find out more about the special features and the right combination on the product pages.
Mild exfoliating granules made from vegetable oils and waxes. Weekly application.
ProductParticularly mild cleanser that thoroughly cleanses the skin without drying it out.
ProductSoap-free, mild face wash gel. Gentle foaming formula with amino surfactants.
ProductCleaning reinforcing fleece cloth for use with the CALM CLEANSER.
Product2. preparation
An often underestimated skin care step: toners or sprays moisturise the skin and make it more receptive to subsequent care products.
BHA toner with 2% salicylic acid. Refines pores and clarifies the complexion.
Product3. targeted active substances
Regardless of the number of products suggested here, regularity is more important than frequency. If you want to combine several serums or boosters that are rich in active ingredients, you can, for example, alternate between daily and evening use.
4.1 Day care, UV protection
Do not underestimate the importance of daily UV protection: UVA rays, which are primarily responsible for skin ageing, also penetrate through clouds and window panes and are present even in winter.
Comprehensive nourishing day fluid with SPF30, antioxidants and vitamin D booster.
Product4.2 Night care
After the addition of active ingredients from care step 3, an appropriately rich night care is the perfect conclusion to your care routine.
By the way: If several products are listed here, these are alternative recommendations, depending on preference.
5. special care
No obligation without freestyle: Here you will find products from our range for that extra portion of care or special needs.
