Things to know about your skin:

Combination skin combines opposing characteristics and actually does everything right - at least from the body's point of view. The exposed T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) is protected from wind and weather by the protective oil film, the rest of the skin, also called the U-zone, has fewer sebaceous glands and is normal to dry. The oily part of the skin also has a coarse-pored and thicker texture in combination skin. Typical is the slight shine caused by excessive sebum production in this part of the face.

Lines and wrinkles are visible signs of skin ageing. The causes for this lie on the one hand in the intrinsic (genetically determined) ageing of the skin, but also in our own behaviour: UV radiation, alcohol and cigarette smoke are external factors that accelerate the ageing process of the skin. You will learn below how to slow down this process through targeted care.

Your skin is also dehydrated, i.e. lacking moisture. This means that the skin's own moisture cannot be retained well. For this reason, moisturising from the outside is especially important. We have taken this into account in our product recommendations below.

As your skin is also sensitive, you should avoid irritating ingredients or treatments. We therefore avoid certain active ingredients in our product recommendations and also advise you against mechanical peels.

Care recommendations and tips:

Cleanse your combination skin in the morning and evening and use only mild cleansing products. Dry areas on the cheeks will not dry out further and the often oily T-zone will not be stimulated to produce even more oil. Moisturise your skin! Apply a slightly richer care product to the drier U-zone (cheeks and neck below the chin).

Apply moisturisers, aqueous serums or fluids all over your face after cleansing. A light balm, fluid or cream-gel with plant oils and ceramides will strengthen your skin barrier. If you want to give your cheeks an extra dose of lipids, mix a few drops of oil into your skincare or use a richer product. Make sure you use UV protection!

Pronounced lines and deep wrinkles cannot simply be "creamed away". But there is a lot that can be done to keep the first expression lines and dryness wrinkles at bay. And exactly the word "some" is the challenge, because your cooperation is needed! When choosing your skin care products, look for antioxidants, hyaluron, mild fruit acids or retinol. In addition, vitamin D in particular helps - and D as in "discipline":

Sun and cigarette smoke are ageing accelerators number 1. Consistent sun protection and abstaining from nicotine & co. do more than any single care product. Regular exercise, sufficient sleep, at least 1.5 litres of fluid intake - none of this is new and some of it is even strenuous. But it works against premature skin ageing, I promise!

Unfortunately, there is no one miracle cure for dehydrated skin - it is rather a mix of several measures that moisturise your skin.

Besides skin care, these two are the most important: Drink a lot of water (yes, this also gets into the skin) and if the air in your room is dry (due to the heating in winter or the air conditioning in summer), make sure the air is well humidified, by using room humidifiers or simply a bowl of water on the radiator.

Sensitive skin should be treated like a raw egg. By this we mean: After washing, do not rub dry with hard terry cloth, but pat dry with a soft towel.

And also cream should not be massaged in too much, but better to first distribute in the hands and then gently pat into the skin with the palms.

These HighDroxy products fit the bill:

1. face cleansing

Here, less is often more. Too much or frequent cleansing unnecessarily stresses the skin barrier and can worsen your skin's appearance in the long run. If we recommend several products at this point, you do not have to use them all together. You can find out more about the special features and the right combination on the product pages.

2. preparation

An often underestimated skin care step: toners or sprays moisturise the skin and make it more receptive to subsequent care products.

3. targeted active substances

Regardless of the number of products suggested here, regularity is more important than frequency. If you want to combine several serums or boosters that are rich in active ingredients, you can, for example, alternate between daily and evening use.
